Olympic Peninsula Community Museum

The Olympic Peninsula Community Museum, an online virtual museum, was created several years ago by the University of Washington in cooperation with twelve widely diverse community groups on the Olympic Peninsula. This project took several years to complete and was funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The amazing results of this collaboration provide a powerful tool for research and education. The Clallam County Historical Society is proud to feature this remarkable site in the hope that it will be viewed by an even wider audience. From the Society's collection of more than 10,000 historical photographs, 180 were selected to be scanned and included in this archive.

Visitors to the site may choose from an array of virtual exhibits that present the historical and cultural highlights of the region, a searchable archive of 12,000 photos and artifacts, and educational resources that include curriculum materials, maps, and other informational links. Please click on the link below to gain access to this wonderful museum.
