 The 2010 Garage Sale   Members Only: Thurs. Sept. 2, 4-6 PM. Regular Sale days: Fri. Sept.3, 8 AM-2 PM. Half Price Day: Fri. Sept. 10, 8AM-2PM. Buck-a-bag Day: Sat. Sept 11, 8AM-2PM. Donations are welcome after March 1st on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call 452-2662 before bringing your donation so there will be someone there to receive it.

Second Weekend at the Carnegie

On Friday Mar.12, 4-7 pm and Saturday Mar.13, 1-4 pm, the work of 30 women artists of Clallam County will be honored as part of Womens' History Month. Selected from the Historical Society's collection, this exhibit will cover a wide range of styles and mediums, celebrating more than 100 years of visual arts in the county, ranging from the traditional to the abstract. Also on exhibit will be original work of three women of Psysht Pottery.

The popular History Tales series is held in the City Council Chamber at 321 E. 5th St, Port Angeles, on the first Sunday of the month at 2:30 PM. The public is cordially invited to attend. Note: The April 2010 lecture will be on April 11.

January 3, 2010 Ginger Nichols on living at the Destruction Island Lighthouse    
February 7, 2010   Pat Neal, author, columnist, fishing guide,and humorist will entertain us with his outdoor adventures.
March 7, 2010 Port Angeles High School grads of 1961 on growing up in Port Angeles fifty years ago.
April 11, 2010  Jon Preston, ONP Ranger, "Press Expedition".
May 2, 2010  Lynda Mapes, author, on the story Of Tse-whit-sen village on the PA waterfront.
June 6, 2010 Historical Society Annual Meeting, Award  presentaions and installation of new board members and officers. 

 

 

 

 
NEXT PROGRAM: PAHS 1961 Grads on Sunday Mar. 7th, 2010, at 2:30 pm. Participants will include Mary Lou Finley, professor of Sociology at Antioch College, Superior Court Judge Brooke Taylor, Clallam County Commissioner Mike Doherty, retired Shoreline elementary teacher Sandy Sedergren Martin, retired Port Angeles School Administrator Darlene Owen Jones, retired Port Angeles High School teacher Bill Ellis, and Marie Brackett Marrs, retired Bainbridge Island secondary teacher.
